Family Guy - Setting

Setting

The primary setting of Family Guy is Quahog ( /ˈkoʊhɒɡ/), a fictional Rhode Island town. MacFarlane resided in Providence during his time as a student at Rhode Island School of Design, and the show contains distinct Rhode Island landmarks similar to real-world locations. MacFarlane often borrows the names of Rhode Island locations and icons such as Pawtucket and Buddy Cianci for use in the show. MacFarlane, in an interview with local WNAC Fox 64 News, stated that the town is modeled after Cranston, Rhode Island.

Famous quotes containing the word setting:

“Oh, let’s go up the hill and scare ourselves,
As reckless as the best of them tonight,
By setting fire to all the brush we piled
With pitchy hands to wait for rain or snow....”
    Robert Frost (1874–1963)

In my dealing with my child, my Latin and Greek, my accomplishments and my money stead me nothing; but as much soul as I have avails. If I am wilful, he sets his will against mine, one for one, and leaves me, if I please, the degradation of beating him by my superiority of strength. But if I renounce my will, and act for the soul, setting that up as umpire between us two, out of his young eyes looks the same soul; he reveres and loves with me.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

The trees stand in the setting sun,
    I in their freckled shade
    Regard the cavalcade of sin,
    Remorse for foolish action done,
That pass like ghosts regardless, in
    A human image made....
    Philip Larkin (1922–1986)
