Weapons of Fafhrd and The Gray Mouser
Fafhrd commonly uses a sword which he names Graywand. He also carries a poignard named Heartseeker and a short hand-axe which has never been named. The Mouser also fights with a pair of weapons: a "slim, curving" sword called Scalpel and a dagger called Cat's Claw, the latter usually hidden in the small of the Mouser's back, and the original of which had a very subtle curve. (It was a straight-bladed weapon by the events of "Lean Times in Lankhmar".) As the pair are often divested of their property, these are names they apply to any of their appropriate weapons and not necessarily names of specific ones. The Mouser is also an expert with the sling.

“Advertisers are the interpreters of our dreamsJoseph interpreting for Pharaoh. Like the movies, they infect the routine futility of our days with purposeful adventure. Their weapons are our weaknesses: fear, ambition, illness, pride, selfishness, desire, ignorance. And these weapons must be kept as bright as a sword.”

“You cant build life the way you put blocks together, Toddy.... Did Knox teach you what makes the blood flow? Did he tell you how thoughts come and how they go, and why things are remembered and forgot?... What makes a thought start?... You dont know and youll never know or understand.... Look, look at yourself. Could you be a doctor, a healing man, with the things those eyes have seen? Theres a lot of knowledge in those eyes, but no understanding.”
—Philip MacDonald, and Robert Wise. Gray (Boris Karloff)
