Ethnic Issues In Japan

Japan has several cultural issues relating to the negative treatment of ethnic minorities and immigrants inhabiting the country by some of the Yamato Japanese that live there.

Foreigners are at times restricted from certain services and activities, because, although according to the Constitution, all citizens are equal, but the country has no effective restrictions on xenophobic actions, although the government recently recognized the Ainu, a people group long discriminated against.
