Emperor Yao (simplified Chinese: 尧; traditional Chinese: 堯; pinyin: Yáo; Wade–Giles: Yao), (traditionally c. 2356-2255) was a legendary Chinese ruler, one of the Three Sovereigns and the Five Emperors.
