Elusive Quality

Elusive Quality (foaled 1993 in Kentucky) is a thoroughbred racehorse.

Elusive Quality stands at stud at Darley America's Jonabell Farm in Lexington, Kentucky. He raced in the colours of Darley's principal, Sheikh Mohammed al Maktoum. Prior to standing at Darley America he stood at Gainsborough Farm in Versailles, Kentucky. Gainsborough was owned by Sheikh Maktoum al Maktoum, eldest brother of Sheikh Mohammed.

Elusive Quality retired to stud in 1999 and stood at a fee of $10,000. As at April 12, 2010 he has sired 505 winners, including 58 stakes winners, from 732 race starters.

  • Elusive City - Champion Juvenile in France and winner of the Group One Prix Morny

  • Quality Road - winner of the 2009 Florida Derby, 2010 Donn Handicap
  • Maryfield - won the 2007 Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint, voted 2007 American Champion Female Sprint Horse, inducted in the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame in 2009.
