Denied Series Finale
During a visit to Peru in 2008, Roberto Gómez Bolaños told the media that he originally planned to make a proper finale to El Chavo del Ocho: in this finale, El Chavo would die trampled by a car, trying to save another kid. However, one of Bolaños' daughters, who is a psychologist, convinced his father to drop the idea, since, according to her, it could depress many children and even lead them to suicide.

Famous quotes containing the words denied, series and/or finale:
“Oh, the holiness of always being the injured party. The historically oppressed can find not only sanctity but safety in the state of victimization. When access to a better life has been denied often enough, and successfully enough, one can use the rejection as an excuse to cease all efforts. After all, one reckons, they dont want me, they accept their own mediocrity and refuse my best, they dont deserve me.”
—Maya Angelou (b. 1928)
“In the order of literature, as in others, there is no act that is not the coronation of an infinite series of causes and the source of an infinite series of effects.”
—Jorge Luis Borges (18991986)
“Let us think this thought in its most terrible form: existence as it is, without meaning or aim, and yet recurring inevitably, without a finale in nothingnesseternal recurrence.”
—Friedrich Nietzsche (18441900)
