Accomplishments
In 1912, Thorndike was elected to the position of president for the American Psychological Association. He was admitted to the National Academy of Sciences in 1917. This was a well recognized achievement as he was one of the very few, first psychologist to be admitted to the association. Thorndike is well known for his experiments on animals, which supports the Law of Effect.
