Edward Everett Square, in Dorchester, Boston, is named for him. It is the intersection of Columbia Road, Massachusetts Avenue, East Cottage Street and Boston Street.
An elementary school in Chicago, Illinois was named for him in 1891. The school still stands at 3410 S. Bell Street.
Edward Everett donated 130 volumes to the Everett School (named in his honor) in St. Cloud, MN on February 12, 1858. This was the first library in the city of St. Cloud. The Everett School was torn down in 1887.
