- The 1955 film, The Dam Busters chronicled the British attack on the dam.
- In the game Call of Duty, the player, an SAS commando, is tasked with destroying the dam, as the Germans have rebuilt it. He must also sabotage AA guns and disable its electric generators. The dam returns in Call of Duty 3 as a multiplayer map.
