Removed Services
Five cross-line services used to operate during the morning peak hours, starting from Ang Mo Kio station on the North South Line as a northbound service, crossing over to East West Line on reaching Jurong East station, and continuing on the East West Line towards Pasir Ris station as an eastbound service. These were withdrawn from 27 December 2011 so as to enhance eastbound service on the East West Line, especially between Joo Koon and Jurong East.

Famous quotes containing the words removed and/or services:
“Deep down, no one really believes they have a right to live. But this death sentence generally stays cosily tucked away, hidden beneath the difficulty of living. If that difficulty is removed from time to time, death is suddenly there, unintelligibly.”
—Jean Baudrillard (b. 1929)
“A good marriage ... is a sweet association in life: full of constancy, trust, and an infinite number of useful and solid services and mutual obligations.”
—Michel de Montaigne (15331592)
