Highlights of the airshow include the following:

- A large flea market (Called the "Fly Market")
- Large exhibits by FAA, NTSB and NASA as well as other federal agencies
- Showcase fly-bys, including the largest formation fly-by of vintage warplanes in the world
- A daily aerobatics airshow featuring the world's best
- A daily showcase of airplanes
- Informative lectures by professional and amateur presenters
- Musical entertainment by such acts as Chicago, The Beach Boys, Foreigner, REO Speedwagon, Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band, The Doobie Brothers, Aaron Tippin, Steve Miller Band, Little Texas, Dwayne O'Brien, Phil Vassar, Flying Musicians Association, Boogie Knights, Da Blooze Brothers and Jerry's One Man Band.
