The Faculty of Education of Baixada Fluminense is a state institution located in St. Louis suburb of Town and is a campus of the State University of Rio de Janeiro in the region, therefore, is subject to the university. Duque de Caxias is one of the best schools in Brazil, Cefet-chemical, known as Cefeteq - Caxias. It also has one of the more traditional schools of Brazil, Pedro II College
