Dublin Regional Authority
The Dublin region is administered by the Dublin Regional Authority (DRA), which consists of 30 elected representatives who meet once per month. These representatives are nominated from the four administrative councils of the region:
- Dublin City Council (14)
- South Dublin County Council, (6) including the regions representative from the EU Committee of the Regions
- DĂșn Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council (5)
- Fingal County Council (5)
Like each Regional Authority, the DRA is assisted in its duties by an Operational Committee and EU Operational Committee.

Famous quotes containing the word authority:
“Contact with men who wield power and authority still leaves an intangible sense of repulsion. Its very like being in close proximity to faecal matter, the faecal embodiment of something unmentionable, and you wonder what it is made of and when it acquired its historically sacred character.”
—Jean Baudrillard (b. 1929)
