Live Music
DNA Lounge has been well known for both DJ dance nights and live concerts. Since the club was purchased by Zawinski, they have been focusing more on live music, and in 2008 they procured an all-ages liquor license to facilitate this. Famous quotes containing the words live and/or music:
“If I could only live at the pitch that is near madness
When everything is as it was in my childhood
Violent, vivid, and of infinite possibility:
That the sun and the moon broke over my head.”
—Richard Eberhart (b. 1904)
“Good-by, my book! Like mortal eyes, imagined ones must close some day. Onegin from his knees will risebut his creator strolls away. And yet the ear cannot right now part with the music and allow the tale to fade; the chords of fate itself continue to vibrate; and no obstruction for the sage exists where I have put The End: the shadows of my world extend beyond the skyline of the page, blue as tomorrows morning hazenor does this terminate the phrase.”
—Vladimir Nabokov (18991977)
