Ditmars Boulevard is the last stop on the BMT Astoria Line which run into Queens above ground following 31st Street. The station is Astoria – Ditmars Boulevard (N Q trains). The approach to the Hell Gate Bridge is in a viaduct over that station.

In addition, the city bus Q69 (formerly Q19A) runs along 21st Street and Ditmars Boulevard.
