Derek Stuart is an ex-boyfriend of Christine Blair. He was portrayed by Ken Olandt from May to October 1989.
History
When Christine met Derek, she grew very fond of him and began dating after she was forced to end her relationship with Dr. Scott Grainger after discovering they were half-siblings. One night after an enjoyable evening together, Derek accompanied Cricket back to her apartment and then showed his tumultuous side when he date-raped a horrified Cricket. Although traumatized by the incident, Cricket found the courage to press charges against Derek. Her strength inspired another woman to step forward and testify that Derek had also raped her. Angered by the prospect of a long prison sentence, Derek vowed revenge against Cricket. He cornered the young model in the hotel room and aimed a gun at her, but just as he fired, Scott burst into the room and took the bullet instead and later survived the gunshot wound. Derek tried to escape by jumping through a window. Instead, he fell to his death.
