Diene
In organic chemistry a diene ( /ˈdaɪ.iːn/ DY-een) or diolefin (/daɪˈoʊləfɨn/ dy-OH-lə-fin) is a hydrocarbon that contains two carbon double bonds. Dienes occur occasionally in nature. Conjugated dienes are widely used as monomers in the polymer industry.
