Famous quotes containing the words personal life, personal and/or life:

The dialectic between change and continuity is a painful but deeply instructive one, in personal life as in the life of a people. To “see the light” too often has meant rejecting the treasures found in darkness.
    Adrienne Rich (b. 1929)

Your children don’t have equal talents now and they won’t have equal opportunities later in life. You may be able to divide resources equally in childhood, but your best efforts won’t succeed in shielding them from personal or physical crises. . . . Marianne E. Neifert (20th century)

Modernism: the books are as hard to understand as life itself.
    Mason Cooley (b. 1927)
