Admission
Being a premier institute thousands of students apply every year. Due to limited seats, selection is done on the basis of All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) rank. In 2010, out of 1,150,000 aspirants who gave the AIEEE examination, DA-IICT invited students having 15,000 rank or below (general category) living outside Gujarat and 30,000 rank or below (general category) to fill Gujarat quota for admission. A few seats are reserved for NRI students.

Famous quotes containing the word admission:
“There are eyes, to be sure, that give no more admission into the man than blueberries.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“Powerful, yes, that is the word that I constantly rolled on my tongue, I dreamed of absolute power, the kind that forces others to kneel, that forces the enemy to capitulate, finally converting him, and the more the enemy is blind, cruel, sure of himself, buried in his conviction, the more his admission proclaims the royalty of he who has brought on his defeat.”
—Albert Camus (19131960)
“To be rich is to have a ticket of admission to the masterworks and chief men of each race. It is to have the sea, by voyaging; to visit the mountains, Niagara, the Nile, the desert, Rome, Paris, Constantinople: to see galleries, libraries, arsenals, manufactories.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
