The son of Marjorie, and children’s fiction author Harry Morris, Desmond John Morris was born January 24th 1928 in the village of Purton, Wiltshire, England. Doctor of both philosophy and science, Morris is an English zoologist, ethologist, surrealist painter, as well as a popular author in human sociobiology. As displayed throughout his lifetime of various achievements, Desmond Morris is a significant contributor to twentieth century thought.
