Permanent Secretary

The current Permanent Secretary at the Department of Health is Una O'Brien. Following the resignation of the previous Permanent Secretary Sir Nigel Crisp in March 2006 a separate post of Chief Executive of the NHS in England has been recreated, this is held by David Nicholson.
