Famous quotes containing the words david, miles and/or huber:
“Priests and physicians should never look one another in the face. They have no common ground, nor is there any to mediate between them. When the one comes, the other goes. They could not come together without laughter, or a significant silence, for the ones profession is a satire on the others, and eithers success would be the others failure.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“They robbed the Danville train.
And the people they did say, for many miles away,
Twas the outlaws Frank and Jesse James.”
—Unknown. Jesse James (l. 68)
“On wings of morning our prayers and devotions are soaring.
All of creation awakens, the Maker adoring.
Join in the song. Harmonies blending along,
Vigor and life now restoring.”
—Jane Parker Huber (b. 1926)
