Daniel Ray "Danny" Ainge (born March 17, 1959) is an American basketball executive and retired professional basketball and baseball player, currently serving as President of Basketball Operations for the Boston Celtics.

Ainge was a standout high school athlete, the only person to be a high school first team All-American in football, basketball, and baseball. He then attended Brigham Young University, where he was named the national collegiate player of the year by the NABC and won the John R. Wooden Award. Following college, he played parts of three seasons in Major League Baseball with the Toronto Blue Jays and then was drafted in the National Basketball Association where he completed 14 seasons. He went on to coach the NBA's Phoenix Suns for three seasons before joining management of the Boston Celtics.
