Biography
Danielle White was born at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio to Brian and Jeannie White. The family moved to Bradenton, Florida when White was very young. From an early age, Danielle took up acting, dancing and sports. At age 10 she began studying voice and music theory. She performed locally with Tampa's Entertainment Revue and the Florida Studio Theater, while remaining a top student at Braden River Elementary School.
After seeing Ryan Seacrest announce plans for a junior version of the hit television series American Idol, Danielle and her family drove 8 hours to Chattanooga, Tennessee to audition for the show. After weeks of auditions she secured a spot in the semi-final group, and advanced to the finals.
The shows' judges, Gladys Knight and Deborah Gibson, praised White's "natural and pure" vocal abilities, and Danielle was told on many occasions by the judges that she was "a Star!". She also impressed previous American Idol singer, Justin Guarini, to the point where this guest judge claimed "America would be crazy not to vote for Danielle." However, it did take a while before the then 11-year-old developed a strong fanbase. During the show, she performed renditions of "Colors of the Wind", "Good Morning Sunshine", "Close To You", "The Loco-Motion", "Daydream Believer", and "Never Had a Dream Come True".
Since joining the group, White has appeared with the group on television shows such as Extra, Inside Edition, Entertainment Tonight, Slime Time Live, U-Pick Live, and An American Idol Christmas. Promotion has taken them all over the country appearing in Florida, New York City, Boston, and Los Angeles. The group's CD was released on October 26, 2004 and its first single, a cover of the Jackson Five's "ABC" did fairly well on Radio Disney. In October 2004, Danielle and her family moved to Los Angeles.
During the 2004 Holiday season, White returned home to Florida for a series of concerts with the Florida West Coast Symphony and the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, both conducted by Andrew Lane. She has also performed a series of Christmas concerts at Sea World.
In 2006, the Whites moved back to Florida, where Danielle started taking voice lessons from Ron Anderson.
In 2008 Danielle was accepted into the Booker High School Visual and Performing Arts Theatre program in Sarasota, Florida. While at Booker, Danielle was in several shows including Godspell, The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds, and Side Show.
She currently has a self-released EP on iTunes entitled Landlady. She also starred in the 2011 film Beautiful Noise as the character Dez and is the lead singer on several songs of the film's soundtrack. White graduated from Booker High School (Florida) in 2010. In late 2010, White moved to Santa Monica, California to pursue her music career.

Famous quotes containing the word biography:
“A biography is like a handshake down the years, that can become an arm-wrestle.”
—Richard Holmes (b. 1945)
“Had Dr. Johnson written his own life, in conformity with the opinion which he has given, that every mans life may be best written by himself; had he employed in the preservation of his own history, that clearness of narration and elegance of language in which he has embalmed so many eminent persons, the world would probably have had the most perfect example of biography that was ever exhibited.”
—James Boswell (174095)
“In how few words, for instance, the Greeks would have told the story of Abelard and Heloise, making but a sentence of our classical dictionary.... We moderns, on the other hand, collect only the raw materials of biography and history, memoirs to serve for a history, which is but materials to serve for a mythology.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
