From 1990-1996, Brucato served as Deputy Chief of Staff, Director of Communications and Press Secretary for Republican Minnesota Governor Arne Carlson. She also served as Director of Communications for the Minnesota Department of Transportation and as Communications Director for Republican Norm Coleman.
