Cuddalore
Cuddalore pronunciation, is a city in Tamil Nadu, southern India. It lies 25 kilometres (16 mi) south of Pondicherry on the coast of the Bay of Bengal. Cuddalore has two districts: the "Old Town" and the "New Town" (Thirupathiripuliyur), separated by the Gedilam River. From 1748 to 1752, Cuddalore was the capital of the English Possessions on the Coromandal Coast.
