American Cryonics Society
While for much of its history the Cryonics Institute stored only its own clients, since the mid-1990s it has contracted with the American Cryonics Society to store ACS clients at CI. The ACS inspects CI yearly to ensure ACS quality standards are met. The extra funds charged to ACS members beyond CI minimums could be used for moving the bodies in the future if necessary, or other uses.

Famous quotes containing the words american and/or society:
“Someone is always at my elbow reminding me that I am the grand-daughter of slaves. It fails to register depression with me. Slavery is sixty years in the past. The operation was successful and the patient is doing well, thank you. The terrible struggle that made me an American out of a potential slave said On the line! The Reconstruction said Go! I am off to a flying start and I must not halt in the stretch to look behind and weep.”
—Zora Neale Hurston (18911960)
“A commonplace of political rhetoric has it that the quality of a civilization may be measured by how it cares for its elderly. Just as surely, the future of a society may be forecast by how it cares for its young.”
—Daniel Patrick Moynihan (20th century)
