County Park

A county park is a park managed by a county. In the United States, county parks are lower in hierarchy than state parks. In the United Kingdom, similar parks for recreation are named country parks.

Famous quotes containing the words county and/or park:

I believe the citizens of Marion County and the United States want to have judges who have feelings and who are human beings.
Paula Lopossa, U.S. judge. As quoted in the New York Times, p. B9 (May 21, 1993)

Is a park any better than a coal mine? What’s a mountain got that a slag pile hasn’t? What would you rather have in your garden—an almond tree or an oil well?
    Jean Giraudoux (1882–1944)
