There is an inland Postal service still working in Somalia.Somal Post Corporation is responsible for providing postal service in Somalia. This company was appointed by Ministry of Information, Posts and Telecommunications of Republic of Somalia. Somal Post Corporation had an agreement at 2003 with Emirates Post for Routed there mail.But for some unknown reason,the agreement had been cancelled. So at this time Its not possible to send a letter from Somalia to Other Country.It's also not possible to send a letter from outside to Somalia But Ministry of Information, Posts and Telecommunications is trying to re-establish the agreement by signing a MOU with Emirates Post for routed there mail through Dubai Sorting center. Though they dont have International Postal service,they have inland Postal service.Its Possible to send letter inside the Somalia.There is a GPO(General Post Office) situated at Mogadishu.Due to the civil strifs of Somalia,The building of GPO was broken.But in 2012,it is reconstructed.ON 2nd march 2012,there was a presentation showed to UPU Member Countries at the Council of Administration Meeting about The reconstruction of Somali post.
