Code Generation

Code generation may refer to:

  • Code generation (compiler), a mechanism to produce the executable form of computer programs, such as machine code, in some automatic manner
  • Automatic programming (source code generation), the act of generating source code based on an ontological model such as a template

Famous quotes containing the words code and/or generation:

Many people will say to working mothers, in effect, “I don’t think you can have it all.” The phrase for “have it all” is code for “have your cake and eat it too.” What these people really mean is that achievement in the workplace has always come at a price—usually a significant personal price; conversely, women who stayed home with their children were seen as having sacrificed a great deal of their own ambition for their families.
    Anne C. Weisberg (20th century)

There is such a thing as food and such a thing as poison. But the damage done by those who pass off poison as food is far less than that done by those who generation after generation convince people that food is poison.
    Paul Goodman (1911–1972)
