Famous quotes containing the words king of england, king of, king and/or england:

In a few years there will be only five kings in the world—the King of England and the four kings in a pack of cards.
    Farouk I (1920–1965)

    Pastime with good company
I love and shall, until I die.
Grudge who list, but none deny!
So God be pleased, thus live will I.
Henry VIII, King Of England (1491-1547)

The firelight of a long, blind, dreaming story
Lingers upon your lips; and I have seen
Firm, fixed forever in your closing eyes,
The Corn King beckoning to his Spring Queen.
    Randall Jarrell (1914–1965)
