Notable Programs

CDMP (Clearwater Digital Media Productions) @ CHS is the school's award winning broadcast journalism program. CDMP is a merging and converging of technology. Students produce CTTV, WPYG Radio and Clearlight Newspaper. http://my.hsj.org/cdmp CDMP student film department produced a community awareness project via what is known as a "Lip Dub". What makes this Lip Dub unique is the students selection of theme and song choice. Sports, clubs, and classes have chosen to represent their groups by selecting a color and cause to support. Over thirty causes were represented throughout the course of the Lip Dub ranging from Heart Disease (Red) to Leukemia (orange). The song choice "Just the Way You Are" by Bruno Mars is the message that the student directors hope to convey in an effort to inspire others and bring about community awareness To see the video, please search, "Clearwater High School: Colors For A Cause Lip Dub" on YouTube.

Famous quotes containing the words notable and/or programs:

In one notable instance, where the United States Army and a hundred years of persuasion failed, a highway has succeeded. The Seminole Indians surrendered to the Tamiami Trail. From the Everglades the remnants of this race emerged, soon after the trail was built, to set up their palm-thatched villages along the road and to hoist tribal flags as a lure to passing motorists.
—For the State of Florida, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)

There is a delicate balance of putting yourself last and not being a doormat and thinking of yourself first and not coming off as selfish, arrogant, or bossy. We spend the majority of our lives attempting to perfect this balance. When we are successful, we have many close, healthy relationships. When we are unsuccessful, we suffer the natural consequences of damaged and sometimes broken relationships. Children are just beginning their journey on this important life lesson.
