Later Life
Bow and cowboy actor, Rex Bell (later a Lieutenant governor of Nevada), had two sons, Tony Beldam (born 1934, changed name to Rex Anthony Bell, Jr., died July 2011) and George Beldam, Jr. (born 1938). Bow retired from acting in 1933. In September 1937, she and Bell opened The 'It' Cafe on Vine Street near Hollywood Blvd. in Los Angeles. It was closed shortly thereafter. Her last public exposure, albeit fleeting, was a guest appearance on the radio show Truth or Consequences in March 1948; Bow provided the voice of "Mrs. Hush".

Famous quotes containing the word life:
“You want to prepare your child to think as he gets older. You want him to be critical in his judgments. Teaching a child, by your example, that theres never any room for negotiating or making choices in life may suggest that you expect blind obediencebut it wont help him in the long run to be discriminating in choices and thinking.”
—Lawrence Balter (20th century)
“The poem refreshes life so that we share,
For a moment, the first idea . . . It satisfies
Belief in an immaculate beginning
And sends us, winged by an unconscious will,
To an immaculate end. We move between these points:
From that ever-early candor to its late plural....”
—Wallace Stevens (18791955)
