Relationship To Local Journalism

Some major news reporting agencies, threatened by the speed with which news is reported and delivered by citizen journalism, have launched campaigns to bring in readers and financial support. Famous quotes containing the words relationship to, relationship, local and/or journalism:

Sometimes in our relationship to another human being the proper balance of friendship is restored when we put a few grains of impropriety onto our own side of the scale.
    Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900)

    Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900)

Eclecticism is the degree zero of contemporary general culture: one listens to reggae, watches a western, eats McDonald’s food for lunch and local cuisine for dinner, wears Paris perfume in Tokyo and “retro” clothes in Hong Kong; knowledge is a matter for TV games. It is easy to find a public for eclectic works.
    Jean François Lyotard (b. 1924)

In journalism it is simpler to sound off than it is to find out. It is more elegant to pontificate than it is to sweat.
    Harold Evans (b. 1928)
