Chengalpattu

Chengalpattu (Tamil: செங்கல்பட்டு), formerly known as Chingleput, is a suburb of South Chennai and Taluk in Kanchipuram district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is the headquarters of the Chengalpattu taluk of the district and is situated at a distance of 55 kilometres (34 mi) south-west of the state capital, Chennai on the national highway NH 45. The pin code of Chengalpattu is 603001.
