Celebrity Apprentice is an American reality game show and sequel television series to the United States version of The Apprentice. Like the show's predecessor, the show is hosted by real estate magnate, businessman and television personality Donald Trump. Also like its predecessor, the show's opening theme song is "For the Love of Money" by The O'Jays. Unlike its predecessor, however, Celebrity Apprentice consists of celebrities as the competing apprentices as opposed to unknowns. The show features celebrities, typically who've been out of the public eye for quite some time or are looking for publicity for one reason or another, competing for charities. These celebrities come from a wide variety of different fields in the media: sitcoms, professional sports, music industry, reality television, radio, and other backgrounds.
Celebrity Apprentice is linked in seasons to its precursor TV show: The Apprentice which consists of seasons 1-6 and season 10. Thus, Celebrity Apprentice follows up with seasons 7 onwards, except for season 10 which revisited the original program. The series completed its 5th season (overall 12th season) in early 2012. In May 2012, the show was renewed for a 6th season (overall 13th season), which is scheduled to air in early 2013.

Famous quotes containing the words celebrity and/or apprentice:
“My great comfort is, that the temporary celebrity I have wrung from the world has been in the very teeth of all opinions and prejudices. I have flattered no ruling powers; I have never concealed a single thought that tempted me.”
—George Gordon Noel Byron (17881824)
“Without being forgiven, released from the consequences of what we have done, our capacity to act would ... be confined to one single deed from which we could never recover; we would remain the victims of its consequences forever, not unlike the sorcerers apprentice who lacked the magic formula to break the spell.”
—Hannah Arendt (19061975)
