Accolades
President Carter received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 for his work through The Carter Center. The Carter Center received the inaugural Delta Prize for Global Understanding in 1999 – an award administered by the University of Georgia.
In 2006, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation presented The Carter Center with the Gates Award for Global Health.
