A report released in 2009 by the Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity at Yale gave Cap'n Crunch's Crunch Berries the worst nutritional score of any cereal marketed to children and families.
In 1983, Quaker experimented with "Halfsies," a cold breakfast cereal that was essentially Cap'n Crunch but with half the sugar and a slightly different texture. Halfsies were discontinued the next year due to poor sales.
