Burnt Offering

Burnt Offering was a punk fanzine based in and around Northampton, England, from 1979 to 1980.

In keeping with the DIY style of the time, Burnt Offering's house style was a mixture of badly typed articles, ransom note effect lettering and cartoon drawings. Its content included interviews, rants, reviews and news of forthcoming gigs.

Burnt Offering ran for twelve issues, sold for 10 pence and was available via clothes shops and record shops.

In 2006 The Isaws, who had been a prominent local band interviewed by B.O. in 1979, released a demo CD titled Burnt Offering.

Famous quotes containing the words burnt and/or offering:

So all were lost, which in the ship were found,
They in the sea being burnt, they in the burnt ship drown’d.
    John Donne (1572–1631)

In matter of commerce the fault of the Dutch
Is offering too little and asking too much.
The French are with equal advantage content,
So we clap on Dutch bottoms just twenty per cent.
    George Canning (1770–1827)
