Bremsnes

Bremsnes is a village and former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village is on the northeastern coast of the island of Averøya, about 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) north of the village of Kvernes and 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) across the Bremnesfjord from the city of Kristiansund. The village is connected to Kristiansund via the Atlantic Ocean Tunnel. The 0.59-square-kilometre (150-acre) village of Bremsnes has a population (2009) of 391.
