Breck Eisner - Early Life

Early Life

Eisner was born Michael Breckenridge Eisner in California, the son of Jane Breckenridge, a business advisor and computer programmer, and Michael Eisner, the former Walt Disney Company chief executive. To avoid confusion with his father, he uses a short version of his middle name which incidentally is his mother's maiden name and the traditional middle name of first-born sons in her family.

Eisner attended Harvard High School (now Harvard-Westlake School), Georgetown University, majoring in both English and Theatre, and the University of Southern California's film school where he received a Master's degree in directing.

Famous quotes containing the words early and/or life:

In early days, I tried not to give librarians any trouble, which was where I made my primary mistake. Librarians like to be given trouble; they exist for it, they are geared to it. For the location of a mislaid volume, an uncatalogued item, your good librarian has a ferret’s nose. Give her a scent and she jumps the leash, her eye bright with battle.
    Catherine Drinker Bowen (1897–1973)

Now, my co-mates and brothers in exile,
Hath not old custom made this life more sweet
    Than that of painted pomp?
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
