The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band (also known as The Bonzo Dog Band) are a band created by a group of British art-school denizens of the 1960s. Combining elements of music hall, trad jazz, psychedelic pop with surreal humour and avant-garde art, the Bonzos came to the attention of a broader British public through a 1968 ITV comedy show, Do Not Adjust Your Set.

Famous quotes containing the words dog and/or band:
“He reproduced himself with so much humble objectivity, with the unquestioning, matter of fact interest of a dog who sees himself in a mirror and thinks: theres another dog.”
—Rainer Maria Rilke (18751926)
“What passes for identity in America is a series of myths about ones heroic ancestors. Its astounding to me, for example, that so many people really seem to believe that the country was founded by a band of heroes who wanted to be free. That happens not to be true. What happened was that some people left Europe because they couldnt stay there any longer and had to go someplace else to make it. They were hungry, they were poor, they were convicts.”
—James Baldwin (19241987)
