Bobby Valentine
Robert John "Bobby V" Valentine (born May 13, 1950) is an American professional baseball manager who is currently a free agent. As a player, Valentine played for the Los Angeles Dodgers (1969, 1971–1972), California Angels (1973–1975), New York Mets (1977–1978), and Seattle Mariners (1979) in MLB. Valentine has been the manager of the Texas Rangers (1985–1992) and the New York Mets (1996–2002) of MLB, as well as the Chiba Lotte Marines of Nippon Professional Baseball (1995, 2004–2009), and Boston Red Sox (2012).
Valentine has also served as the Director of Public Safety & Health for the city of Stamford, Connecticut and an analyst for ESPN Sunday Night Baseball.
