Board of European Students of Technology - Structure

Structure

BEST is structured in three layers: local level, regional level and international level.

  • The basis of BEST is formed by the 93 Local BEST Groups (further called LBGs) spread in technical universities from 32 European countries. Each of these groups have their own local boards and organise local and international BEST activities.
  • On the second level, the organisation is divided into 11 regions, the goal of the regional division being to ensure a better communication between the LBGs and the international level.
  • On the top-most level, we find the international structure, with an International Board and International committees/teams which are coordinating particular fields, tasks and projects of BEST.

Famous quotes containing the word structure:

One theme links together these new proposals for family policy—the idea that the family is exceedingly durable. Changes in structure and function and individual roles are not to be confused with the collapse of the family. Families remain more important in the lives of children than other institutions. Family ties are stronger and more vital than many of us imagine in the perennial atmosphere of crisis surrounding the subject.
    Joseph Featherstone (20th century)

Agnosticism is a perfectly respectable and tenable philosophical position; it is not dogmatic and makes no pronouncements about the ultimate truths of the universe. It remains open to evidence and persuasion; lacking faith, it nevertheless does not deride faith. Atheism, on the other hand, is as unyielding and dogmatic about religious belief as true believers are about heathens. It tries to use reason to demolish a structure that is not built upon reason.
    Sydney J. Harris (1917–1986)

... the structure of a page of good prose is, analyzed logically, not something frozen but the vibrating of a bridge, which changes with every step one takes on it.
    Robert Musil (1880–1942)
