Clubs and Organizations
Bloomingdale High School currently offers three types of clubs: special interest, academic/honor, and service clubs. Clubs are grouped into three groups: Red Clubs, White Clubs, and Black Clubs. The first three Wednesdays of most months (March and May being common exceptions) are club days. Club days are days when students meet with their clubs between second and third periods. The bell schedule is adjusted so that approximately 5–7 minutes are removed from the regular class periods in order to allow for this club period.

Famous quotes containing the words clubs and and/or clubs:
“As night returns bringing doubts
That swarm around the sleepers head
But are fended off with clubs and knives ...”
—John Ashbery (b. 1927)
“The true reformer does not want time, nor money, nor coöperation, nor advice. What is time but the stuff delay is made of? And depend upon it, our virtue will not live on the interest of our money. He expects no income, but outgoes; so soon as we begin to count the cost, the cost begins. And as for advice, the information floating in the atmosphere of society is as evanescent and unserviceable to him as gossamer for clubs of Hercules.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
