The Blanchard Valley Conference is an Ohio High School Athletic Association affiliated athletic league located in Hancock, Hardin, and Putnam Counties in northwest Ohio. Its name derives from the Blanchard River, which runs through the area in which the schools are located. Findlay, which is part of the Greater Buckeye Conference, Riverdale High School, of the North Central Conference, and Fostoria St. Wendelin, which is part of the Midland Athletic League in all sports but football, are the only high schools in Hancock County that are members of the Ohio High School Athletic Association that are not part of the BVC.

Famous quotes containing the words valley and/or conference:
“How old the world is! I walk between two eternities.... What is my fleeting existence in comparison with that decaying rock, that valley digging its channel ever deeper, that forest that is tottering and those great masses above my head about to fall? I see the marble of tombs crumbling into dust; and yet I dont want to die!”
—Denis Diderot (17131784)
“For 350 years we have been taught that reading maketh a full man, conference a ready man and writing an exact man. Footballs place is to add a patina of character, a deference to the rules and a respect for authority.”
—Walter Wellesley (Red)
