Final Episode
The final episode filmed was the 1991 Christmas Special titled 'All for Love' which was partly set in Bath. The final scene provides a strong hint about Bergerac's future after Charlie Hungerford has recommended Bergerac for the new position of heading up the Bureau des Étrangers as it is rolled out across the Channel Islands following its success in Jersey.

Famous quotes containing the words final and/or episode:
“The place became full of a watchful intentness now; for when other things sank brooding to sleep the heath appeared slowly to awake and listen. Every night its Titanic form seemed to await something; but it had waited thus, unmoved, during so many centuries, through the crises of so many things, that it could only be imagined to await one last crisisthe final overthrow.”
—Thomas Hardy (18401928)
“The press is no substitute for institutions. It is like the beam of a searchlight that moves restlessly about, bringing one episode and then another out of darkness into vision. Men cannot do the work of the world by this light alone. They cannot govern society by episodes, incidents, and eruptions. It is only when they work by a steady light of their own, that the press, when it is turned upon them, reveals a situation intelligible enough for a popular decision.”
—Walter Lippmann (18891974)
