Bedford Springs Hotel - Future of The Resort

Future of The Resort

The hotel re-opened for overnight guests on July 12, 2007. The hotel buildings were completely restored and renovated, and additional wings added. In January 2009, the resort was purchased by Omni Hotels, a luxury hotel brand that operates properties across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The new resort is a 216-room hotel with 5 suites, golf course, spa, and conference facility. The spa wing accommodates additional rooms and a full-service spa. The hotel contains a 130-seat restaurant along with a fully restored colonial-style tavern in the Stone House, with original, massive stone walls and beams dating to 1806.

The revitalized resort also contains a new outdoor pool, a complete restoration of the original, mineral spring-fed indoor pool, and a kids' club. The resort offers outdoor activities including hiking, bicycling (led by Cannondale), cross-country skiing, fly fishing, river rafting, carriage rides, and day excursions to many of Bedford's famous historic sites and beautiful covered bridges.

Famous quotes containing the words future of the, future of, future and/or resort:

The American West is just arriving at the threshold of its greatness and growth. Where the West of yesterday is glamorized in our fiction, the future of the American West now is both fabulous and factual.
    Lyndon Baines Johnson (1908–1973)

The future of America may or may not bring forth a black President, a woman President, a Jewish President, but it most certainly always will have a suburban President. A President whose senses have been defined by the suburbs, where lakes and public baths mutate into back yards and freeways, where walking means driving, where talking means telephoning, where watching means TV, and where living means real, imitation life.
    Arthur Kroker (b. 1945)

Given for one instant an intelligence which could comprehend all the forces by which nature is animated and the respective positions of the beings which compose it, if moreover this intelligence were vast enough to submit these data to analysis, it would embrace in the same formula both the movements of the largest bodies in the universe and those of the lightest atom; to it nothing would be uncertain, and the future as the past would be present to its eyes.
    Pierre Simon De Laplace (1749–1827)

While I shall not vote for the prohibition amendment, I would like to see a good, wholesome expression of temperance sentiment.... Personally I do not resort to force—not even the force of law—to advance moral reforms. I prefer education, argument, persuasion, and above all the influence of example—of fashion.
    Rutherford Birchard Hayes (1822–1893)
