Bars Radar
The Bars are a family of Russian (former USSR) all-weather multimode airborne radars developed by the Tikhomirov Scientific Research Institute of Instrument Design for multi-role combat aircraft such as the Su-27 and the MiG-29.
Famous quotes containing the words bars and/or radar:
“Howling and roaring
Toe’osh scattered white people
out of bars all over Wisconsin.”
—Leslie Marmon Silko (b. 1948)
“So I begin to understand why my mother’s radar is so sensitive to criticism. She still treads the well-worn ruts of her youth, when her impression of mother was of a woman hard to please, frequently negative, and rarely satisfied with anyone—least of all herself.”
—Melinda M. Marshall (20th century)
