Arthur Penn

Arthur Hiller Penn (September 27, 1922 – September 28, 2010) was an American film director and producer with a career as a theater director as well. Penn amassed a critically acclaimed body of work throughout the 1960s, but by the mid 70s his films were received with much less enthusiasm, and by the 1980s "his film career began to falter".
